About Me
I use visual and spoken communication to inform, educate, and help others.
As a multimedia storyteller, I specialize in video production, photography, web development, podcast production, and writing. As a freelancer, I photograph live events such as swim meets, TEDxUGA, and NMIXpo and edit photos using Adobe Lightroom.
Most recently, I served as the Video & Editorial Assistant for UGA Research at the University of Georgia, where I edited videos in Adobe Premiere Pro for UGA Research's watch posts, featured on its news website and social media platforms, and wrote articles for the UGA Research website.
I was also a Podcast Producer for Georgia on Your Mind, a podcast from the New Media Institute at UGA’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication. I co-hosted episodes, coordinated filming logistics, led video production and editing, assembled initial audio cuts in Adobe Audition, and oversaw final revisions.
In my past experience, I discovered my passion for video editing during my time as an Assistant Production Supervisor at Viking Fusion Studios, Berry College’s award-winning multi-media production studio. There, I was responsible for creating yearlong strategies to maintain our online presence, managed video shoots, and researched, produced, and edited films.
This experience led me to a role as a Production Assistant for Starz Family Productions, where I applied my skills in team communication, managing audiences, and facilitating crisis situations. In addition, I was the Social Media Manager for My Favorite Game where I planned content for live events and administered ad campaigns.
Later, as the Marketing Communications Assistant for the Madison Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau, I helped people discover Madison and Morgan County through photography, videography, social media, website management, and advertisements.
My goal is to use my work to inspire audiences and help them seize opportunities they might otherwise miss. To do this, I am have expanded my skillset by earning a Master of Arts in Emerging Media at the University of Georgia.
When I’m not at work, you can find me engrossed in a good history book or enjoying strategy and cooperation board games with friends. I love challenges that expand my thought process and encourage me to build my skills in new ways.
